Here at Scaramanga, while we love our vintage and retro furniture, we also like to keep things fresh and exciting – which is why we have fairly regular deliveries, packed full of lovely new furniture, homewares and decorative pieces. We’ve recently acquired a large selection of chairs and seating, so we’ve compiled a short list of our five favourite things to relax on.
Vintage Stacking Chairs, £200.00 for a set of fourIf you’re looking for chairs with a hint of versatility, our vintage stacking chairs, £200 are the ideal solution. Dating from the 1970s, these fabulous chairs are constructed from a tubular steel frame and a woven hessian backrest and seat, and will work well both inside and out. Add them to your dining table for a hint of retro charm, or use them on the patio during the summer months for a vintage style garden.
Retro Armchairs, £160.00 for a set of two
For something a little bigger, park your bottom on the Scaramanga retro armchairs, £160 for a set of two. Featuring curved backs and red vinyl upholstery, these beautiful original 1970s chairs will look perfect around the table in any kitchen or dining room. The beech frame has been shaped into armrests, making them also ideal for adding a vintage touch to the corner of a bedroom or bathroom.
Vintage Blue Chairs, £180.00 for a set of four
If you’re mad for everything mid-century, why not opt for our vintage blue chairs, £180? Dating from the 1960s, these fabulous chairs feature curved backs, clean lines and the original blue vinyl covering. Finish off the look with one of our formica tables, and take your kitchen back in time for a true vintage eating experience.
Old Church Bench, £125.00Are you looking to add a vintage feature to a dining room or hallway? Perhaps you’re looking for an alternative style of seating for a playroom? Our old church bench, £125, manages to be practical, stylish and quirky all in one go, and will work well in any room in your house. Originally used in a church hall in Dundee, this lovely bench is made from solid pine and will look perfect covered with vintage style cushions or a retro throw.
Old Factory Stool, £50.00
For something a little different, opt for the Scaramanga old factory stool, £50, which dates from the 1960s and originated from an old printing factory in Kirkaldy, Scotland. This authentic vintage stool would make a great feature in any room, and aside from being used as seating, as a variety of other handy uses. Why not purchase two, and use them in the bedroom as side tables? Alternatively, pop one in the bathroom or lounge and use it to stand your houseplants on.
